Accessibility Statement for ResourceSpace

Montala Limited is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We want everyone who uses ResourceSpace to feel welcome and to find the experience rewarding.

This accessibility statement applies to the ResourceSpace digital asset management platform.

Compliance Status

ResourceSpace is designed to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

We monitor and work to support compliance with relevant accessibility legislation and guidance, including:

  • UK Equality Act 2010

  • UK Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018

  • European Accessibility Act (EAA)

  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

Because ResourceSpace is a configurable platform used by multiple organisations, accessibility compliance of individual installations may vary depending on system configuration and customer-provided content.

Content and Feature Accessibility

The accessibility of certain content types depends on how they are created and managed by customers.

Video Content

To maximise accessibility, video content should include captions, transcripts, audio description tracks, or descriptive metadata. The availability of these features depends on customer usage and content preparation.

Images

ResourceSpace supports accessibility through the use of alternative text fields and descriptive metadata. Some image editing features, such as cropping and brightness/contrast adjustments, rely on graphical interaction. We aim to ensure these tools remain accessible where technically feasible.

Known Limitations

We are continually working to improve accessibility. Some areas where accessibility may vary include:

  • Third-party plugins or integrations installed by customers

  • Customer-defined themes or custom user interface modifications

  • Media content uploaded without captions, transcripts, or descriptive metadata

Ongoing Accessibility Improvements

Accessibility is considered throughout the development lifecycle of ResourceSpace. We:

  • Include accessibility testing as part of development and release processes

  • Conduct internal accessibility reviews

  • Commission independent accessibility audits periodically

  • Respond to customer accessibility feedback and prioritise improvements where feasible

Testing Approach

Accessibility testing is carried out using a combination of:

  • Automated accessibility testing tools

  • Manual keyboard navigation testing

  • Screen reader testing where appropriate

  • Independent third-party accessibility reviews
