Linux System Administrator

At Montala we provide Digital Asset Management services to customers all around the world and nearly 200 customers are hosted on our custom cloud infrastructure, with over 40 Linux servers hosting over half a petabyte of customer data across multiple geographically separate hosting facilities. As our business expands we are looking to recruit a capable and experienced Linux System Administrator to assist with managing and improving our hosting infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting our production Ubuntu Linux infrastructure
  • Installing and configuring new Linux systems
  • Carrying out software upgrades
  • General IT support work across all platforms including office based systems as needed
  • Configuring customers systems including SSL certificate installation, SAML configuration, etc.
  • Carrying out regular IT administration tasks such as server reviews and security testing as needed
  • Working with our support team to resolve customer issues
  • Migration of customer data to, and between, our servers

Requirements

  • At least 2 years experience installing and supporting Linux based servers
  • Experience with at least one programming/scripting language
  • Experience with Apache and, ideally, MySQL.
  • A comprehensive understanding of Internet security and awareness of typical vulnerabilities
  • Proactive and able to suggest improvements
  • A positive attitude to new challenging IT tasks
  • Be self motivated and able to research new solutions independently

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They will be able to manage their time well, and solve problems efficiently. Experience scaling hosting solutions including mass storage and virtual computing would be an advantage.

Web Application Support

We are a small and friendly web solutions company in Oxfordshire looking to add a Support Analyst to our team to assist our customers in using our web-based Digital Asset Management System. The role will be to solve customer issues in a timely and helpful manner.

Responsibilities

  • Dealing with issues and questions logged by our customers
  • Carrying out software upgrades
  • Reconfiguring customers systems
  • Fixing bugs in the software base code
  • Undertaking minor development work with the potential to grow this aspect over time

We require 2 or more years commercial experience with:

  • SQL
  • PHP or other programming language
  • HTML, CSS, Javascript

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They will be able to manage their time well, and solve problems efficiently.

Customer Success Administrator

We're looking for a Customer Success Administrator to join our team. Our clients all use ResourceSpace, our web-based Digital Asset Management software, and we want to make sure it's invaluable to them.

You won't be phased by big names - our clients include Google, Oxfam and Coca-Cola - and a desire to learn and take on new responsibilities is essential. In time, we’d be keen for you to progress to Customer Success Executive - handling your own accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Calling clients to set up meetings
  • Coordinating internal Customer Success projects
  • Learning more about ResourceSpace
  • Liaising between the Support team and Customer Success
  • Helping the Customer Success Executives with onboarding and system configuration
  • Helping the Customer Success Manager with ad-hoc tasks
  • Proofreading

You don't need to be tech-savvy but you do need to be sharp, on the ball and organised.

You'll be friendly, approachable and motivated. You'll be happy talking to clients and have an excellent writing style - communicating clearly and effectively. You'll manage your time efficiently and be good at solving problems.
